Pixie Hollow Treehouse
Welcome to Pixie Hollow! A woodland retreat for those with an adventurous heart.
The treehouse consists of a 5’ x 6’ clubhouse set on a 10’ x 5’ deck connected to a nearby Redwood tree with a 16’ long log bridge.
The log bridge railings are set an an angle and covered with rope net for a safe but minimal look. A pulley bucket is attached to the deck as a quick way to bring toys and snacks up to the clubhouse.
A wood rung ladder provides access to the treehouse by way of the log bridge. Attaching a 12” round Redwood log to another tree is a unique challenge, but a special heavy duty beam bracket along with Tree Attachment Bolts does the job.
Barbara took careful note of the beautiful design details on the main house when designing the treehouse and incorporated the decorative trim from the house doors on to the doors and shutters of the clubhouse.
Additionally, she replicated the main houses design details in the porch railings on the clubhouse deck as well as the painted brackets under the the deck.
Stepping into the clubhouse one goes from muted woodland to bright and cheery. Just right for energetic play even on dreary days.
For even more fun, a drop leaf table and top secret safe were added to the interior.
