The Welcome Bench is a custom one-of-a-kind furniture piece designed, built, carved and stain by Barbara Butler in 1996. Made from pine and doug fir, the bench is stained with Barbara’s signature colors. Barbara designed the Welcome Bench for the client’s entryway and to complement the angle of the staircase.  This piece includes curved & rounded armed rests, angled bench back with fanciful carvings and rippled trim across the top, plus three (3) separate cubbies under the bench seat, each behind a unique carved and stained door.

It has been with the original family since 1996 and is in excellent condition. The client is relocating and no longer has a staircase or the room for it. We are listing it free of charge, hoping this unusual piece will find a new home!
