Whimsical Water Tower
This Napa Valley cutie is inspired by a classic water tower and topped with a silver roof to match the house. Barbara’s artist sketch gives the family a feel for what the finished project will look like.
As always, we begin by fabricating each component of the structure in our shop, Here, Colin and Jose Luis add the slats to the base of the water tower.
To make on-site installation quick and easy, every detail must be attended to ahead of time. Here, Colin uses a level to check that the top of the tower component is aligned correctly.
Above, Barbara, Marco, and Colin work on the the second story playhouse, which is crafted meticulously using sustainable redwood lumber that naturally resists the elements.
The silver roof echoes the main house’s roof and helps tie in the outdoor play area with the overall aesthetic of the property.
The angled rung ladder that leads up to the second story playhouse will have thick rustic rope as the railings for an added sensory experience for little hands. Stay tuned for pics of the finished project soon!
