Pasadena Play Structure Restain
Before…
…And after!
We build our play structures to last generations, but without some TLC on occasion, they can look dull and faded. When that happens, a cleaning and restaining will breathe new life into your structure. Not only does restaining bring back the luster, but it will also extend the life of the play structure and give us an opportunity to check the structure for safety concerns.
We recently performed a full cleaning and restaining on this cherished play structure in Pasadena. The owners kept it in excellent condition, but with our expert crew we were able restore the play structure back to like-new condition.
Originally built and installed in 2008, this play structure fits beautifully into the family’s side yard. The two-story playhouse features a rock climb wall, a crazy bar climb, a rope net ladder, firepole, and for younger children or grandparents, there is a staircase around back. Two long bridges connect the playhouse to a treefort and a lookout tower. For multiple ways on and off the play structure, there is a turbo tube slide and coil climber off the tree fort, and many ladders for quick escapes.
The crew spent a week cleaning out all the nooks and crevices of debris (a major source of rot for redwood), making small repairs, prepping the wood for stain and then re-staining the entire play structure. Finally, a coat of clear tung oil solution was applied to provide extra protection to the new stain. It was a big job, but our crew is quick and thorough.
Not only will the structure continue to look beautiful in the client’s yard, but it will be safe for play for many years to come.
