New Colors for Retreat Hut!
Barbara was recently asked to built a Retreat Hut for the Magical Bridge Playground in Palo Alto, the first Magical Bridge playground and only one to not feature a Retreat Hut. Until now!
The original color palette for the Retreat Huts was a mix of calming blues, chosen to match the other play accessories around the playground.

The next color palette to be used was for Magical Bridge Santa Clara, where the playhouse theater was stained in warm brown colors to honor the cities historic mission style architecture. Barbara stained the Retreat Hut closest to the playhouse theater in a range of warm browns and reds to compliment.

This spring, The Magical Bridge Foundation asked Barbara if she could build a Retreat Hut for the playground in Palo Alto, that was built before the Retreat Hut was conceived of.
When it come time to stain the hut, Barbara and team began thinking about possibly adding a new color palette to the family of Retreat Huts. After several iterations, and time at her color desk, Barbara came up with this vibrate and cheerful new color palette; Vibrant Spring!

The new Retreat Hut was quickly explored by playground goers.
We’re very excited about this new color palette and hope to see it in other playgrounds soon!
