Magical Bridge Refurbish

The very first Magical Bridge, located in Mitchell Park in Palo Alto, has been such a big hit that an average of 900 players of all abilities enjoy it daily! As you can imagine, after 7 years of this traffic and lots of sunshine, everything was due for some maintenance.

After a thorough safety check, our expert safety inspector found the playhouse was in great shape. It needed only the most minimal of repairs and a thorough deep cleaning. Our eco-friendly tung oil stain had also begun to fade a bit, so a fresh coat was in order. Look at how she sparkles now!

The BBAB crew arrived on site bright and early. Other crews repaired the rubber surfacing and installed new shade structures while we got started on our own tasks.

First up, giving our colorful sign a touch-up. Here, master painter Rudi adds brilliant blue to the faded stars.

The interior walls and floors also got a new coat of our signature all-natural tung oil after hosting so much joyful play over seven years.

The bakery items from the Cafe and the tool bench got freshened up as well, ready for the next seven years of bringing families of all abilities together for connection, exploration, and play!
