Home Is Where the Heart Is

Nine years ago today, we installed Home Is Where the Heart Is, our playhouse donation to the Dreams Happen fundraiser for Rebuilding Together Peninsula.

Rebuilding Together Peninsula is a local organization that helps with home repairs for families, seniors, and people with disabilities who don’t have the resources to do them on their own.

Our donation is a two-story playhouse with cut-outs in various shapes and a rock climbing wall along one side. The cut-outs are giant waterproof windows made of lexan.

The whimsical aesthetic of this structure is reminiscent of a child’s doodle: refreshing, fun, and welcoming.

On the other side, there are more climbing options with a twisty fire pole and a rope net climb.

The 2013 auction sold 9 other playhouses in addition to our own and brought crucial funds to Rebuilding Together Peninsula’s mission!
