A forest of trees provides a stunning setting for this treehouse. The 30 foot long swinging bridge joins the two tree decks that are built around two stands of trees.
Barbara set the treehouses on the edge of the lawn, floating over a steep drop-off. This left the flat lawn area free for swings, slide and a soft landing for the rock climbing wall.
Entrance from the Clubhouse tree deck to the swinging bridge. it’s 30 feet across and quite nerve-wracking, in a good way!
The Swinging Bridge connects the two tree decks and gets the kids up in the canopy of the trees. The clubhouse just fits between the two large trees that support that deck.
It is an entire play experience to simply cross from one side of the bridge to the other. But hey, why not stop in the middle and just hang out in the trees?
The swinging bridge leads to the Octagon Rock climbing tower. Once there, the firepole is the fast way back down to earth.
Plenty of room on the big decks to run around and play! That’s a working flagpole with 3 flags - kids can swap out the flag to commemorate the mood of the day.
The 8’ long x 6’ wide clubhouse is 100% waterproof with double-layered cedar shingled gable roof and custom-made, kid-sized, venting windows.
The inside of the treehouse explodes with color with functional glass windows, a door outfitted with our signature who-goes-there peephole and shelf with pegs for coats & hats.
The slope drops off on the back side of the octagon tower, so Barbara increased the height of the railings as an additional safety feature.
The underside of the big tree deck shows kids how things are built - beams, girders, knee braces & Garnier limbs work together to safely support kids & adults up in the tree!
The Octagon Tower has a rope net climbing ladder next to the “wrap-around” rock climbing wall and there’s a firepole too for a quick exit!
