Winter Wonderland Tour
We’ve had a fantastic, productive 2014 and we’re looking forward to more adventures next year! For now, cuddle up with some hot chocolate and join us in a virtual tour of our winter wonderland:
Though she lives in sunny California now, Barbara is no stranger to cold weather. Here’s the upstate New York house where she and her seven siblings grew up, covered in snow. In fact, jumping into snow drifts in the backyard was a mainstay of winter fun for the Butler clan.
When she began making tree houses, Barbara knew she wanted something that could stand up to the elements, no matter the weather. Thanks to a coating of eco-friendly tung oil, these beauties are ready for fun year-round. If only it were that easy to get the kids dressed for playing in the snow!
Built on-site in Connecticut, this majestic castle is often covered with a layer of white. During construction, the snows came early and the crew had to melt ice with a hair dryer each morning before getting started. In fact, that experience spurred Barbara to begin fabricating the pieces in the shop rather than building on-site.
Whether you spend it before a fireplace or bundled up outside, we hope this winter brings wonder and joy to you and your family! Happy New Year!
