Physical Fitness for Kids
Is that a play house or the world’s prettiest piece of gym equipment? Where a child sees fun and adventure, many health experts see a path to lifelong physical fitness. And where there are active, moving kids, there is less likelihood of childhood obesity, diabetes, asthma and other ailments. Growing up, Barbara and her siblings spent hours a day working out, or as they called it, “playing”.
Drawing on her happy childhood memories, Barbara designs her tree houses to encourage active play and challenge kids’ physical skills. Climbing, running, leaping and sliding promote stamina, strength and agility.
Escaping from a pit of hot lava or building upper body strength? Either way, I’m pretty sure Michelle Obama would approve.
